My Defender restore conversion

This cabinet was in so bad shape when I got it
I have no intension of fully restoring it as a defender, I'll restore the artwork to its former glory alright.
In Ireland cabs are hard to come by, especially in good condition.
please excuse some of the pics as most were taken on different mobile phones

Cant find the very early ones but heres after I stripped 1/4 inch deep of emulsion from the machine

Testing out using spraypaint, seemed great at the time
but believe me a Foam roller is the way to go
Thats what I done in the end and will never use a spray can again

Re: My Defender restore conversion

1st go with the roller, touching up any inperfections with filler
Just restoring the black
Like the graphics a little faded looking
The kick panel was removed as it was completely rotted
Graphics on front beyond restore
Will have to repaint them on from scratch

Light is funny in this room
will get better pics tomorrow with the t-moulding on on monitor in

Very Nice, what did you use as a stripping agent?

I will eventually repaint the complete sides in the future when I move to a bigger house where I can actually work on the machine without it being everywhere.

need to repaint the front graphicsas it was destroyed
